New Look
I am trying out a new look for the web site. We’ve had the same basic layout, pictures, and colors for over 10 years now and I thought it was time for a change. I tried to find a theme that would combine the colors appropriate for our club, while allowing for easy reading.
I’m still trying to work out the title fonts on the sidebar. However, I think it still works the way it is.

NEFHRC Spring Hunt Test
The NEFHRC Spring 2018 Hunt Test is scheduled for the weekend of April 14-15, 2018 at SSJ Quail Farms in Hilliard, FL.
Entry to the test can be made on Entry Express at http://entryexpress.net. Alternatively, you can complete a paper premium and mail it and your check to Barry Sales, Hunt Secretary, to the address reflected on the premium.
You can download a premium at http://nefhrc.net/premiums/nefhrc-spring-2018-v4.pdf.
Be sure to enter early to ensure your spot! Also, enter before the closing date (04/02/2018) to avoid additional late fees!
Training Day UPDATES
We have now secured locations for the January and February training days.
The January training day will be held Saturday, January 20th at Westside Family Worship Center, 9717 103rd Street, Jacksonville, FL 32210 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The February training day will be held Saturday, February 17th at Southpoint Community Church, 7556 Salisbury Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256 beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Please make note of the new start times. The locations and start times have been updated on the site’s Event Calendar.
Dog/Puppy of Year Award
Many of you may have noticed that we stopped soliciting Dog and Puppy points in the monthly newsletter beginning in September 2017. At the same time, the club stopped collecting the points on the web site, taking down the pages to report the points and to show the rankings.
NEFHRC has decided not to award the Dog/Puppy of Year any longer. While we believe the dogs should be recognized for their hard work and achievements, we just weren’t getting responses with points submitted.
Instead, we’d love to feature your dog or puppy for his/her achievements in the Newsletter. So, if you’d like, you can continue to submit your points to me at webmaster@nefhrc.net and I will include an “atta boy” or “atta girl” in the next issue of the newsletter!
Feel free to submit a photo of your dog with the points and perhaps a line or two about his/her bio!
January Newsletter
HAPPY NEW YEARS!
The January issue of The Hunter’s Blind was sent to all members yesterday. If you did not receive the e-mail with your copy, please contact Karen VanDonsel, Webmaster/Editor, via e-mail at webmaster@nefhrc.net to let her know.
A couple of the e-mail were returned by Yahoo indicating the members did not have accounts with them. So, we may have incorrect e-mail addresses.
In the meantime, the January issue has posted to the Newsletters page for your convenience.

Calendar Updated
The Event Calendar has been updated through April 2018. A number of hunt test events have been added. Be sure to check out the calendar so you can get your entries in!
